LTEs
Life Transforming Events (LTEs) usually take place over a weekend and will stretch and grow you spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. These events will teach you how to work as a team, as an individual, and most importantly, to depend on God. From these events you will learn lessons that you can take with you for the rest of your life.
Gauntlet
The first week of the internship lays a foundation upon which you will build the entire year. Gauntlet is filled with opportunities for you to challenge and evaluate yourself as you experience the beginnings of a very exciting year. Beyond training and orientation, Gauntlet provides the foundation for the spiritual growth and development that will take place in you at the Honor Academy.
Adventure Trips/GE Mission Trip
With Global Expeditions missions trips, you’ll have the opportunity to put your faith into practice by sharing the life-giving message of Jesus Christ in one of the countries you choose. Let God use you as an instrument to touch lives and bring hope to those who are hopeless.
Men’s/Women’s Retreat
During this event you’ll learn what it is to become a true man or woman of God in today’s society. Learn from “the real deal” themselves on how to develop godly relationships, overcome insecurity, and live pure as you step into the full manhood and womanhood God has called you to.
P.E.A.R.L.
This Physical, Emotional, And Relational Learning is an optional LTE opened to interns, alumni, parents and anyone who desires a personal and spiritual growth experience like none other. PEARL is designed to stretch you emotionally and physically in ways many have not been stretched before. In this highly structured, meticulously orchestrated experience, young people work through a series of challenges as a team…and triumph victoriously together. During this event, participants will look deep within and are likely to be confronted with character building opportunities as they learn to rely more on God’s strength and His promises than they do on themselves.
Current and past Interns have consistently rated PEARL as the most influential LTE of the year! If you are ready to join the challenge like thousands before you, PEARL is waiting for you.
Un-reached People Group LTE
This outdoor simulation allows you to experience the mission field without ever having to leave the campus. Become a missionary and evangelize an un-reached people group, or become an un-reached tribe and develop a unique culture, complete with language and customs. Take part in this unique opportunity to see both sides of missions and watch how the power of God can impact an entire culture through this event.
World Awareness LTE
This LTE is an opportunity for interns to gain a new perspective on what it may be like to live in a persecuted country. It is an outdoor simulation that involves interns living under the stars for a couple nights as the staff and graduate interns role play as a new government with pragmatic viewpoints. Interns are faced with decisions about how to share their faith, whether or not to obey the government directions and how to respond to leadership that does not recognize Jesus as Lord. Several films about oppression of Christians in other countries are watched during the weekend to aid in the learning experience.
Fasting LTE
Throughout the year you will learn how to effectively fast and pray. You will then apply this teaching during these LTE weekends in an environment where you can focus solely on God. The campus takes on a unique vibe as hundreds of interns fervently seek to hear from God, grow closer to Him, and get clarification of their life vision and purpose.
Celebration LTE
During the internship year you’ll learn, study, and partner with other interns and staff to accomplish great things. This LTE is a weekend devoted to celebrating those accomplishments.
Endurance LTE
During the Endurance LTE, you’ll run the Extreme Race across the back 400 acres of Teen Mania’s property. Traversing through swamps, elevated “over-unders”, walls & low crawls, rope climbing, balance beams and more, you’ll forever remember the victory as you learn to ENDURE and never give up on yourself.
Summer Camps
Every summer Teen Mania’s Extreme Camps are held here on campus. This experience is designed to help teens genuinely discover God and live an extreme life for Him. You can play a vital role during this time while serving as a camp counselor. You will have the opportunity to pour into lives and lead campers into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
